Having worked for a toy company, Tony went into business with his brother doing sign writing and screen printing. The four years he spent in this field whetted his appetite to become even more creative. It was a horrendous car crash in the small hours of the morning which left him with a broken knee, and unable to walk for 8 months. That finally gave him the time to sit and sketch and paint. On a trip to the USA he saw Bob Ross on television, and decided - this is for me!
Over the next two years Tony flew back and forth to the USA to be trained by Bob Ross himself until Bob's untimely death at age 55. By then however, Tony had begun his present business doing what he loved - painting.
15 years later - he is still out there painting and entertaining
Tony's infectious good humour and down-to-earth approach endear him to everyone he demonstrates to, and teaches. He is very generous with his information and tips at the workshops he holds all over the United Kingdom. Tony and his wife, Dee are real troupers!
At Centigrade, Tony showed us how easy it is to adapt what he does onto china and porcelain, and showed all of us, what fun it would be to "have a go" on a canvas!
