Trish returned from Canada in 1984 and took an adult education class in China Painting. She became obsessed with overglaze painting and attended seminars around the UK with professional artists before passing a City and Guilds course.
Trish is now retired from full time work and concentrates on encouraging new students by teaching, giving demonstrations and giving seminars.
Although much of the City and Guilds course is based on traditional techniques using fat oil and turps as a medium, Trish quickly turned to the American style of using an open medium. The traditional work led on to becoming interested in modern techniques and textures, and then developed further to incorporate all styles on one item. Much of Trish's work is influenced by North American culture, colours and tradition.
